The 266 is another Olesinki design, and the lines for the Riviera show his flair for combining a performance hull with attractive aesthetics. The underwater sections are true deep vee and although the midships deadrise of 26ft flattens out slightly to produce a more effective planning service, it again increases to 24ft at the transom giving a soft ride and reduced slamming
The shape of the stern is also an area of considerable thought and innovation. The substantial bathing platform is part of the main fashionable, wedge-shaped stern profile, affords protection for those expensive outdrive units when mooring stern-to.
The cockpit is split level with the forward section raised giving excellent visibility from the helm position and extra headroom in the cabin under the cockpit sole. Access to the swim platform is via a transom door to the port of the bench seat. The platform is equipped with a sturdy fold up stainless steel bathing ladder, fender hoops and fresh water shower.
Handrails around the cockpit and the radar arch are well situated to lend support for embarking or moving forward, while an effective non-slip surface is moulded into the deck.
Access to the cabin is gained via a wide sliding perspex door with stainless steel grabrails sensibly placed to take a steady hand. The interior is spacious and light, cabin sides and deck head are lined with cushioned vinyl.
The galley includes sink / fridge & two burner gas hob with a great use of storage.
